[Standing Council on School Education and Early Childhood
(SCSEEC)] was formed in In January 2012, by the
Council of Australian Governments (COAG) and replaced the Ministerial Council for
Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA). The Hon. Adrian Piccoli MP is
the current chair and this is the [SCSEEC membership] - basically all
state and federal ministers with responsibility for school education and
early childhood, plus The Hon Hekia Parata MP, NZ
Minister of Education. The SCSEEC secretariat is in Melbourne, jointly
funded by all the governments involved, and the SCSEEC site does contain media
releases and publications from that date. However, the secretariat staff kept
their former roles from MCEEDYA, and most resources and information are still on
the MCEEDYA site, including information about projects and working parties, and
there are a lot of links to quality educational research and
reports.
Australian Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth
Affairs Senior Officials Committee (AEEYSOC)
SCSEEC is primarily supported by AEEYSOC, a group of senior officials with
responsibility for school education, early childhood and youth affairs. They are
mainly the Directors
General of the relevant Australian, NZ and state authorities, plus some
representatives of SCEEC and other project .
[Education Services
Australia (ESA)] is a national, not-for-profit
company owned by all Australian education
ministers.
It was established to support delivery of national
priorities and initiatives in schools, training and Higher Education sectors -
see the [ESA - About Us] page for full
details.
ESA manages projects, mostly secured by public tender, which encompass:
